To
address some common questions... |
|
| |
First let me start by saying "Sorry" if my personal story
was a bit TMI, but I felt it was important to explain just
how bad everything was in order to show how truly drastic the turn-around
has been.
And all too often some of those things are not talked about for various
reasons, so I wanted to be sure anyone who might be silently suffering
under similar conditions would have a clear understanding that this
will work for them, too.
Food combining can immediately put an end to most digestive problems
including acid reflux/GERD, gastritis, constipation, IBS, heartburn,
diverticulosis/diverticulitis, diarrhea, ulcers, colitis & Crohn's
(IBD).
But it isn't just for digestive problems!
Eating this way will make you lose any excess weight (even that stubborn
last 10 pounds), have more energy, sleep better at night, and feel
better all dayespecially after meals.
It also helps your body digest food more thoroughly and assimilate
nutrients more efficiently, which in turn allows the body to heal
itself by having plenty of energy left over for detoxifying, flushing
excess fat and acid build-up, and repairing or replacing bad tissues
(instead of wasting that energy trying to digest things that don't
combine well).
In
addition to being the hidden culprit behind such heinous digestive
issues as IBS, that acid build-up has been associated with the development
of many other chronic conditions, including:
|
|
| |
osteoarthritis
rheumatoid arthritis
fibromyalgia
high blood pressure
allergies
weight gain
obesity
bladder problems
kidney conditions
hormone imbalances
joint pain
aching muscles
lactic acid buildup
low energy
chronic fatigue
slow digestion
elimination problems
yeast/fungal overgrowth
|
|
| |
Food combining has been shown to help ease symptoms of all of these,
plus a host of other odd aches, pains and chronic conditions we
typically attribute to growing older.
Even diabetics can benefit from it!
Food
combining is not just a diet, although it can be and often is used
as such... but since all of those wonderful healing benefits (and
weight loss) would basically be undone by returning to eating miscombined
meals, why would you ever consider going back??
Unlike
any fad diet you may have previously tried, food combining isn't
something that works for only some people. It is based on the body's
physiology and chemistry, so it works for all humans.
The only way food combining won't work is if you don't adhere to
the principles.

About food combining... |
|
| |
If you've done any research for yourself yet, I'm sure you noticed
there's A LOT of information out there... and some of it is conflicting,
depending on how food-nazi-ish the particular point of view you're
reading.
There are 9 basic rules in "proper" food combining: |
|
| |
1. Eat acids and starches at separate meals.
(Acids neutralize the alkaline medium required for
starch digestion, resulting in fermentation and indigestion.)
2. Eat protein foods and carbohydrate foods at separate meals.
(Protein foods require an acid medium for digestion,
carbs require an alkaline environment.)
3. Eat only one kind of protein food at a meal.
(Different proteins require different digestion times,
which is important when trying to prevent putrefaction.)
4. Eat proteins and acid foods at separate meals.
(The acids of acid foods inhibit the secretion of
the digestive acids required for protein digestion. Undigested protein
putrefies in bacterial decomposition and produces some potent poisons.)
5. Eat fats and proteins at separate meals.
(Some foods, especially nuts, are over 50% fat and
require hours for digestion.)
6. Eat fruits and proteins at separate meals.
7. Eat fruits and starchy foods at separate meals.
(Fruits don't digest in the stomach and are held up if eaten with
other foods, causing fermentation.)
8.
Eat melons alone.
(They combine with almost no other food, including other fruits.)
9. Skip dessert.
(Eaten on top of meals they lie heavy on the stomach,
requiring no digestion there, and ferment. Bacteria turn them into
alcohols and vinegars and acetic acids.)

Although GTNP
ensures the most important rules are followed, it's not preachy
about some of the lesser details. This simplified version focuses
mainly on keeping carbs and proteins separate. And it's not all
vegan or raw-foodie or anything extreme like that.
I researched
info from many different sources which I felt were geared toward
promoting good health in general and not just trying to sell supplements
or colon cleansing services. There are several free food combining
charts on the web, each of which gives a nice representation of
what goes with what... but even using those it was not very easy
for me to plan a meal for my family.
It was also confusing because I was trying to assimilate all those
other little nuances I'd read elsewhere, but where they were conflicting,
which one to choose??
So
I decided to just stick with this particular program and see what
happened. Following only these simplified guidelines has provided
all those benefits I listed, and so quickly!
Every recipe comes with suggestions for what else to eat with it
in order to create a properly combined meal. The recipes are very
easy to makeno weird ingredients or special shopping requiredand
unlike every cookbook I've owned before, every single recipe is
something I can hardly wait to try!

About the program... |
|
| |
Separating carbs and proteins does take some getting used to, but
only at the very beginning. It becomes easier every day as you begin
to feel better and better after each properly combined meal, experience
less indigestion, gas, bloating, heartburn, etc., and notice how
eating actually makes you feel energized instead of sleepy.
I think that's why GTNP
offers the 4-day freebie teaser, because if you really stick to
it for just 4 short days, you should be feeling so great you won't
want to stop!
It does take a little discipline to get started, or a lot if you
aren't already eating very healthfully... but really, you can't
expect anything to change if you keep eating exactly the same way
you always have, right??
If
you're still iffy, conduct a little experiment on yourself: follow
the 4 days without deviation, and then on day 5 eat meals
like you used to.
I can't imagine you won't notice any difference.
A friend brought
up some good questions about coffee, dessert, and convenience foods:
On
the 4-day report it says don't drink coffee with your breakfast
meal. The program suggests avoiding coffee because it is so acidic,
but if you must have it, you canjust have it before breakfast,
wait 20-30 minutes after you're done with it before eating anything,
and make sure breakfast and your next meal are mostly high-water
foods to cleanse your system.
No foods are absolutely forbidden in food combiningit's when
and what you eat or drink things with that matters, and you
want to be sure to eat more alkaline and less acidic foods each
day.
No days on the 4-day report show any dessert, but yes you can have
them on the program, and there are even several desserts in the
recipe book.
It is recommended that you wait as long as possible after a meal
to have any dessert, and be sensible about it. Also be sure to make
the next two meals mostly high-water foods to cleanse (digesting
sugars creates more acid).
I eat dessert, probably more often than I should, and usually it's
ice cream. I just try to wait at least 3 hours after dinner, and
I don't eat a huge amount.
And Skinny Cow is only 100 calories :)
Recipes in the 4-day report use only fresh ingredients, but you
can substitute convenience foods as needed. In fact many recipes
in the book call for canned items.
The more processed any food is, the more chemicals have been added,
thereby making it more acidic. The hierarchy for best (and quickest)
results is to use fresh as first choice, then frozen, then canned.
Boxed foods tend to be the most heavily processed and should be
avoided as much as possible. I like to look at the main ingedients
in some of my old favorites and then make something similar using
fresh ingredients instead.

About the energy... |
|
| |
"But I just don't have enough energy to be shopping for and
cooking all this stuff!"
Believe me, I didn't either. In fact, I started out by simply making
sure whatever I was eating didn't have both carbs and protein in
it.
That meant picking meat out of my noodley soup, which I did only
because there were more noodles than meat. I ate cheddar goldfish
as my carb when I didn't have bread to go with salad or soup.
Doing
simple little things like that was all it took. After two days I
could actually feel myself having more energy.
I remember it well... I was making dinner after work, the radio
was on, and I found myself dancing all around the kitchen as I cooked.
I suddenly realized what I was doing, and what it meant: another
promise fulfilled.
It's even a little hard to contain sometimes. I thought I would
never have this kind of energy again... heck I don't even remember
having this much energy as a kid!

About the weight loss... |
|
| |
I'm sure it was due to the freed up energy, at first. That's one
of the many promises of food combining, that your body will use
the reclaimed energy to flush excess fat.
But
then I started noticing I'm eating less, too, yet I'm satisified
with the amount and I stay satiated for hours on end. Definitely
a huge difference from the crazy hunger I felt if I waited just
a little too long between snacks doing the weight-loss thing I started
in January!
Eating this way is supposed to help your body digest food better
and assimilate nutrients more efficiently... guess that's true,
too!
Also very interesting is that most of the weight I'm losing seems
to be coming right off the middle. I'm seeing it elsewhere too,
of course, but my waist is noticeably shrinking for the first time
since after my son was born 13 years ago... and I haven't even started
exercising yet!

About the disappearing arthritis and carpal tunnel symtpoms... |
|
| |
Well I just have to say HALLELUJAH!! I was really getting upset with
myself for being such a little old lady at 38, not being able to stand
up straight or walk very well after being seated for more than a few
minutes.
I imagine I looked like someone who had forgotten their walker...
Now I feel like I'm turning back the clock!
Not only can I get up from sitting and walk upright immediately, but
also the chronic swelling at the base of my neck has disappearedalong
with the chronic pain.
My wrists don't ache anymore either, and my hands don't go numb from
using a fork or clipping my nails like they used to.
My hair and skin are improving now, too. I thought it might just be
the recent change in weather, until a co-worker made the comment,
"Yeah even your hair and skin look great!"
Now I know it's just another benefit of food combining! |

About the affiliation... |
|
| |
I am a program affiliate, which means I will get a referral fee
if you order the full program... but I became an affiliate because
I believe in it and am seeing and feeling more amazing results and
benefits every day.
Honestly, I would promote food combining regardless because
it works... but as long as they had an affiliate program,
I figured why not make a little money while I'm at it, right??
Look, I don't care if you order the program at all, which is the
only way I get a referral fee. I get nothing at all for click-thrus
or even if you sign up the free trial offer.
I DO care about my fellow human beings, your long-term health and
general well-being. Food combining has worked such miracles for
me, I just want everyone to experience the same incredible levels
of health and vitality as I am.
Even
if you don't do it via GTNP,
please look into food combining. It's the real deal,
it delivers on every single promise, and your body will be very
glad you did!
